This transmission serves as a direct replacement for the following North American models:

• Nissan Murano AWD (S, SL, LE, SV): 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014

• Chassis Code: Z51

• Compatibility Note: This is for AWD models only. If your Murano is Front-Wheel Drive (FWD), the transfer case housing will differ. Please verify your transmission code on the driver-side door jamb sticker.

JDM to USDM Installation & Technical Guide

To ensure 100% OBDII compliance and a smooth "re-learn" process for the CVT, professional technicians recommend these steps:

• External Component Swap: You must transfer your original USDM Transmission Wiring Harness, Speed Sensors, and AWD Transfer Case (if the JDM unit does not include one or if the plug orientation differs).

• CVT Cooler Flush: It is mandatory to flush the external transmission cooler and lines. Debris from a previously failed CVT can quickly ruin your replacement JDM unit if not properly cleaned.

• Fluid Requirements: Use ONLY Nissan NS-2 CVT Fluid (or the updated NS-3 if specified by your VIN). Using standard ATF will cause immediate and catastrophic failure of the CVT belt system.

• TCM Calibration: After installation, it is highly recommended to perform a "CVT Calibration Data" reset or "re-learn" using a professional scan tool to align the JDM hardware with your existing USDM Transmission Control Module (TCM).
