CRITICAL SERVICE ADVISORY: Modern CVT gearboxes rely on precise hydraulic pressures and pristine electronics. To protect your investment and maintain warranty coverage, ensure your technician follows these guidelines:

1. Transfer External Electronics & Sensors: JDM transmissions originate from right-hand drive architectures. You MUST remove the JDM wiring sub-harnesses and swap over your vehicle's original USDM transmission wiring harness, input/output speed sensors, and neutral safety switch to ensure seamless communication with your vehicle’s factory ECU.

2. Flush the Transmission Cooler: Metal debris from a failed transmission will contaminate the radiator and external cooler lines. You MUST thoroughly flush and clean the entire transmission cooling loop before installing this replacement unit to avoid immediate internal damage.

3. Inspect Axle Seals & Mounts: Take advantage of the transmission being out of the vehicle and install new driver-side and passenger-side CV axle seals alongside a fresh transmission mount to ensure leak-free, vibration-free operation.

4. Torque Converter Seating: Ensure the included torque converter is fully and properly seated into the front pump before mating the transmission housing to the R18 engine block. Forcing a misaligned transmission against the block will crack the internal pump.

5. Mandatory Fluid Requirements: Never use generic automatic transmission fluid (ATF). Refill the transmission exclusively with Genuine Honda HCF-2 CVT Fluid. Using improper fluid will ruin the internal drive belt and immediately void the parts warranty. Always check the fluid level at factory-specified operating temperatures.
