Vehicle Fitment

This engine is a direct replacement for the following North American models:

• Kia Sorento: 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015

• Trims: LX, EX (2.4L GDI Models Only)

• Compatibility Note: Specifically, for GDI models. Not compatible with the 2.4L Multi-Port Injection (MPI) or 3.3L V6 variants. Please verify your vehicle has "GDI" badging or the G4KJ engine code.

Installation:

Because this is a Brand-New Long Block, you will be transferring your external accessories to the new block. Follow these steps to ensure your warranty remains valid and the engine performs perfectly:

1. High-Pressure Fuel Pump: You must transfer your original GDI high-pressure fuel pump and high-pressure fuel lines. Inspect the pump "bucket" (lifter) for wear before installation.

2. Intake & Exhaust Manifolds: Reuse your original manifolds. Ensure the intake manifold ports are cleaned of any carbon buildup before bolting them to the new head.

3. Sensors & Harness: Transfer your original wiring harness and all sensors (Knock, Crank, Cam, and Oil Pressure).

4. Oil Cooler & Pan: Ensure your oil cooler is thoroughly flushed. If your previous engine suffered a bearing failure, replace the oil cooler and lines entirely to prevent metal shavings from contaminating the brand-new engine.

5. Break-In Procedure: Since this engine has 0 miles, follow a strict break-in period. Use high-quality 5W-20 or 5W-30 synthetic oil and change the oil/filter after the first 500 miles.
