This transmission is a direct mechanical replacement for the following North American models:

• Toyota Corolla (L, LE, LE Eco, S, SE, XLE, XSE): 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018

• Toyota Corolla iM: 2017, 2018

• Scion iM: 2016

• Compatibility Note: This is the K310E variant for the 1.8L engine. It is not compatible with the 2.0L M20A engines found in newer 2019+ Corolla models or the earlier 4-speed automatic transmissions.

JDM to USDM Installation & Swap Guide

To ensure 100% compatibility and a seamless "plug-and-play" experience with your Corolla’s ECU, professional technicians recommend the following "External Swap" steps:

1. Transmission Sensors: Transfer your original USDM Input and Output Speed Sensors to the JDM unit. This ensures the electrical connectors match your factory wiring harness and prevents "communication error" codes.

2. External Harness: Always retain and use your original USDM Transmission Wiring Harness. JDM harnesses may have different pin configurations or lengths based on right-hand drive chassis layouts.

3. Neutral Safety Switch: Transfer your original USDM Range Sensor (Neutral Safety Switch) to ensure your shifter positions and dash indicators align perfectly.

4. Transmission Cooler: Inspect the JDM cooler lines. If the orientation or bracket offsets differ, swap your original USDM Transmission Fluid Cooler/Lines to the JDM unit.

5. Fluid Requirement: You must use Toyota Genuine CVTF-FE fluid. Using generic CVT fluid or older "TC" fluid can cause internal damage and belt slippage in the K310 series.

6. CVT Calibration: After installation, a "CVT Calibration" or "G-Sensor Learning" may be required via a professional scan tool to ensure the smoothest possible shift transitions.
