Vehicle Fitment

This engine is a direct long-block replacement for the following North American models:

• Lexus GS350 (RWD & AWD): 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011

• Lexus IS350: 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013

• Compatibility Note: This is the Direct Injection (FSE) model. It is not compatible with the 2GR-FE found in the Lexus ES350 or Toyota Camry/Avalon.

JDM to USDM Installation & Swap Guide

To ensure 100% compatibility and maintain your Lexus’s sophisticated electronics, professional installers recommend the following "External Swap" steps:

1. Wiring Harness: You must retain and use your original USDM Lexus Engine Wiring Harness. JDM harnesses are configured for right-hand drive and will not interface with your GS350’s chassis electronics or ECU.

2. Intake & Exhaust Manifolds: While the JDM manifolds are often identical, we recommend transferring your original USDM manifolds to ensure all vacuum ports and emissions sensors (O2/AFR) align perfectly with North American specs.

3. Fuel System: Inspect the JDM high-pressure fuel pump and injectors. If your USDM components are known-good, transferring them can help avoid potential JDM-spec tuning discrepancies.

4. Engine Sensors: Transfer your original USDM Camshaft and Crankshaft Sensors to the JDM block to guarantee perfect communication with your Lexus ECU.

5. AWD vs. RWD Note: If your GS350 is AWD, you must swap your original USDM Oil Pan and Pickup Tube. The JDM RWD oil pan will not clear the front differential and axles found on North American AWD models.

6. Maintenance Tip: This is the perfect time to replace the Spark Plugs (Iridium) and the Water Pump, as these are significantly easier to service while the engine is out of the vehicle.
