The A25A-FKS is a high-tech engine requiring specific steps to ensure a seamless "Plug-and-Play" installation into a USDM Camry:
Fuel System Components: You must transfer your original USDM high-pressure fuel pump and fuel injectors/rail to the JDM block to ensure the electrical connectors and pressure sensors align with your USDM ECU.
Electric VVT Actuator (VVT-iE): Transfer your original USDM electric variable valve timing actuators to the JDM engine to maintain perfect timing synchronization with your vehicle's computer.
Intake & Exhaust: Reuse your original USDM Intake and Exhaust Manifolds. This is critical for maintaining correct emissions readings and vacuum line routing.
Wiring Harness: Retain and use your original USDM Engine Wiring Harness. JDM harnesses are built for right-hand drive configurations and will not interface correctly with your Camry's chassis.
Oil Pan & Sensors: Inspect the oil pan and oil level sensors. If there are variations between the JDM and USDM versions, swap your original USDM oil pan and pickup tube onto the replacement block.
