JDM to USDM Installation & Swap Guide

  1. Intake & Exhaust Manifolds: You must transfer your original USDM Intake Manifold and Exhaust Manifold. JDM versions may lack specific emissions bungs or vacuum ports required for North American OBDII systems.

  2. Wiring Harness: Always retain and use your original USDM Engine Wiring Harness. JDM harnesses are configured for right-hand drive and will not interface with your TSX’s chassis bulkheads or ECU location.

  3. Engine Sensors: Transfer your original USDM Crankshaft Position Sensor and Knock Sensor. JDM sensors often have different plug styles; using your original "known-good" sensors ensures the harness plugs in perfectly.

  4. Water Housing: Swap your original USDM Water Outlet and Thermostat Housing to ensure all radiator and heater hoses align perfectly with your North American cooling system.
