• Compatibility Note: While the JDM F23A is mechanically identical to the USDM versions, you must transfer your external components to ensure 100% plug-and-play compatibility with your specific vehicle's emissions and wiring.

JDM to USDM Installation & Swap Guide

To ensure 100% compatibility and maintain your Honda’s emissions and drivability, professional technicians recommend the following "External Swap" steps:

1. Intake & Exhaust Manifolds: You must transfer your original USDM Intake Manifold and Exhaust Manifold. JDM versions often have different vacuum port layouts and lack specific sensors (like the EGR or IACV configuration) required for North American OBDII compliance.

2. Wiring Harness: Always retain and use your original USDM Engine Wiring Harness. JDM harnesses are configured for right-hand drive and will not interface with your Accord/Odyssey chassis bulkheads or ECU.

3. Engine Sensors: Transfer your original USDM Camshaft, Crankshaft, and Knock Sensors. Honda electronics are highly sensitive; using your original "known-good" sensors prevent intermittent signal issues or Check Engine Light codes.

4. Distributor: Transfer your original USDM Distributor to ensure the plug matches your factory wiring harness perfectly.

5. Water Housing: Utilize your original USDM water housing and thermostat neck to ensure coolant temp sensors and hose locations match your factory cooling system.
