This transmission serves as a direct replacement for the following North American models:

• Nissan Altima Sedan (Base, S): 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012

• Nissan Altima Coupe: 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012

• Chassis Code: L32

• Compatibility Note: Specifically for the 2.5L 4-cylinder engine. It is not compatible with the 3.5L V6 model or the Hybrid Altima.

JDM to USDM Installation & Technical Guide

To ensure 100% OBDII compliance and prevent the dreaded "judder" or "whining" noises, professional technicians recommend these critical steps:

• Sensor & Harness Transfer: You must transfer your original USDM Transmission Wiring Harness and External Sensors to the JDM unit. JDM plugs can sometimes vary in pin-out or orientation; using your original electronics ensures the TCM (Transmission Control Module) communicates perfectly.

• CVT Cooler Maintenance: It is mandatory to flush the CVT cooler lines and we strongly recommend replacing the external oil cooler filter. Debris from your failed CVT will quickly destroy the JDM replacement if it enters the new system.

• Fluid Requirements: Use ONLY Nissan NS-2 CVT Fluid. Using standard ATF or even the newer NS-3 (unless specified by a technical service bulletin for your VIN) will cause the belt to slip and destroy the transmission internally within miles.

• ROM / Calibration: In some cases, you may need to swap the ROM chip (Calibration Data) or perform a "Point Reset" using a professional scan tool so the existing USDM TCM can learn the specific hydraulic characteristics of the JDM unit.
