This transmission is a direct replacement for the following North American models:

• Honda CR-V 2WD (LX): 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001

• Compatibility Note: This is the 2WD (Front-Wheel Drive) version. It does not have the transfer case output for AWD/4WD models. Please verify your vehicle's drive configuration before ordering.

JDM to USDM Installation & Swap Guide

To ensure a seamless "plug-and-play" installation and maintain perfect communication with your CR-V’s ECU, professional Honda technicians recommend the following steps:

1. Shift Solenoids: We recommend transferring your original USDM Shift Solenoids and Wire Harness to the JDM unit. This ensures the electrical plugs match your factory vehicle harness exactly and prevents "Check Engine" or "D" light flashing.

2. Transmission Mounts: Utilize your original USDM Mounting Brackets. While the transmission housing is identical, the brackets on JDM units may differ depending on the donor chassis (e.g., Honda S-MX or Stepwgn).

3. Cooler Lines: Inspect the JDM cooling line bungs. You may need to swap your USDM Fluid Line Fittings to ensure a leak-free connection to your radiator's transmission cooler.

4. Fluid Flush: Always use Genuine Honda ATF-DW1 Fluid. Using the correct Honda-specific fluid is critical for long-term clutch pack health and smooth shifting.

5. Torque Converter: This transmission includes a low-mileage JDM torque converter. Ensure it is fully seated in the pump before mating the transmission to the engine to avoid pump damage.
