Vehicle Fitment

This engine is a direct long-block replacement for the following North American models:

• Lexus GS430: 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007

• Lexus LS430: 2001–2006

• Lexus SC430: 2002–2010

• Compatibility Note: While the long block is identical, certain accessories, oil pans, and brackets differ between the GS, LS, and SC models. You must utilize your original mounting hardware and accessories for a perfect fit into the GS chassis.

JDM to USDM Installation & Swap Guide

To ensure 100% compatibility and a "first-turn" start using your original Lexus ECU, professional technicians recommend the following "External Swap" steps:

1. Intake & Exhaust Manifolds: You must transfer your original USDM Intake Manifold and Exhaust Manifolds. JDM versions may have different vacuum port configurations and lack specific emissions bungs required for North American OBDII compliance.

2. Wiring Harness: Always retain and use your original USDM Engine Wiring Harness. JDM harnesses are configured for right-hand drive and will not interface with your GS430’s chassis bulkheads or ECU.

3. Engine Sensors: Transfer your original USDM Camshaft and Crankshaft Sensors. Lexus electronics are highly sensitive; using your original "known-good" sensors prevent intermittent signal issues or CEL codes.

4. Oil Pan: Inspect the JDM oil pan. Depending on the donor vehicle (e.g., Celsior or Majesta), you must transfer your original USDM GS430 Oil Pan and Pickup Tube to ensure proper subframe and steering rack clearance.

5. Throttle Body: Transfer your original USDM Drive-by-Wire Throttle Body to ensure perfect communication with your factory pedal assembly and traction control system.
