This engine is a direct long-block replacement for the following North American models:

• Toyota Yaris (Liftback & Sedan): 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018

• Compatibility Note: This is the non-hybrid version of the 1NZ. It is a direct "plug-and-play" replacement for the Yaris chassis.

JDM to USDM Installation & Swap Guide

To ensure 100% compatibility and maintain your Yaris’s emissions compliance, professional technicians recommend the following "External Swap" steps:

1. Intake & Exhaust Manifolds: You must transfer your original USDM Intake Manifold and Exhaust Manifold. JDM versions may have different vacuum port locations or lack specific emissions bungs required for North American OBDII systems.

2. Wiring Harness: Always retain and use your original USDM Engine Wiring Harness. JDM harnesses are built for right-hand drive and will not interface with your Yaris’s chassis bulkheads or fuse box.

3. Engine Sensors: Transfer your original USDM Camshaft and Crankshaft Sensors to the JDM block to guarantee perfect communication with your original ECU.

4. Water Housing: Inspect the JDM water outlet. If the heater hose angles or sensor plugs differ from your original setup, swap your original USDM Water Housing.

5. Alternator & Accessories: Swap your original USDM Alternator and A/C Compressor to ensure all electrical connectors and mounting brackets align perfectly.
