This engine is a direct long-block replacement for the following North American models:

• Infiniti Q70 (Base, Sport, Luxe): 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019

• Compatibility Note: This is the Longitudinal RWD configuration. If your Infiniti Q70 is equipped with Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (Q70x), you must transfer your original USDM oil pan and pickup assembly to accommodate the front-drive axle pass-through.

JDM to USDM Installation & Swap Guide

To ensure 100% compatibility and maintain the sophisticated electronics of your Q70, professional technicians recommend the following "External Swap" steps:

1. Intake & Exhaust Manifolds: You must transfer your original USDM Intake Plenum and Exhaust Manifolds. JDM versions may have different vacuum port layouts and often lack specific emissions bungs required for North American OBDII compliance.

2. Wiring Harness: Always retain and use your original USDM Engine Wiring Harness. JDM harnesses are configured for right-hand drive and will not interface with your Q70’s chassis bulkheads or ECU.

3. Engine Sensors: Transfer your original USDM Camshaft and Crankshaft Sensors. Infiniti electronics are highly sensitive; using your original "known-good" sensors prevents intermittent signal issues or Check Engine Light codes.

4. Oil Pan (AWD Models): If your vehicle is a Q70x (AWD), you must swap the USDM AWD Oil Pan and Pickup Tube onto the JDM block to allow for front-axle clearance.

5. Pilot Bushing / Flexplate: Transfer your original USDM Flexplate to ensure perfect alignment with your 7-speed automatic transmission and correct signaling for the crank position sensor.

6. VVEL Modules: Retain your original VVEL control modules to ensure perfect synchronization with your factory ECU mapping.
