This transmission serves as a direct replacement for the following North American models:

• Nissan Altima Sedan (Base, S, SV, SL): 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018

• Chassis Code: L33

• Compatibility Note: Specifically for the 2.5L 4-cylinder engine. It is not compatible with the 3.5L V6 model. Please verify your transmission code on the driver-side B-pillar sticker (QR codes are often used on this generation).

JDM to USDM Installation & Technical Guide

To ensure 100% OBDII compliance and a smooth swap, professional Nissan technicians recommend these critical steps:

• Solenoid & Sensors: To prevent programming issues, you must transfer your original Sensors, Solenoids and Wiring Harness to the JDM unit. This allows the JDM hardware to communicate perfectly with your original Transmission Control Module (TCM)

• External Cooler Flush: It is mandatory to flush the transmission cooler lines and replace the external oil cooler filter. Metal debris from a failed CVT can stay trapped in the lines and will destroy the JDM replacement immediately if not cleared.

• Fluid Requirements: Use ONLY Nissan NS-3 CVT Fluid. Using NS-2 or standard ATF in the CVT8 platform will cause immediate belt slippage and catastrophic internal failure.

• Calibration: After installation, perform a "G-Sensor" and "Clutch Point" relearn using a professional scan tool to align the JDM hardware with your vehicle's driving characteristics.
