JDM to USDM Installation & Swap Guide

To ensure 100% compatibility and maintain your Infiniti’s sophisticated electronic boost control and emissions, professional technicians recommend the following "External Swap" steps:

1. Turbochargers & Manifolds: While JDM engines include turbos, we recommend inspecting your USDM Wastegate Actuators and boost sensors. Ensure all vacuum and coolant lines match your USDM chassis layout.

2. Wiring Harness: Always retain and use your original USDM Engine Wiring Harness. JDM harnesses are configured for right-hand drive and will not interface with your factory ECU or battery location.

3. Engine Sensors: Transfer your original USDM Camshaft, Crankshaft, and Boost Sensors. Infiniti electronics are highly sensitive; using your original "known-good" sensors prevents intermittent signal issues or Check Engine Light codes.

4. Oil Pan (AWD Models): Ensure the JDM unit is equipped with the correct AWD Oil Pan and Pickup. If the donor was a RWD vehicle, you must transfer your original USDM AWD oil pan to clear the front drive axles.

5. Intercoolers: Use your original USDM Water-to-Air Intercoolers and pump assembly to ensure perfect fitment with your factory cooling hoses.

6. Direct Injection Components: Retain your original USDM high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) and injectors to ensure perfect ECU synchronization and fuel rail pressure mapping.
