This engine is a direct long-block replacement for the following North American models:

• Lexus LS430: 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006

• Lexus GS430: 2001–2007

• Lexus SC430: 2002–2010

• Compatibility Note: While the internal long block is identical across the "430" lineup, certain accessories, dipstick locations, and mounting brackets are chassis-specific. You must utilize your original LS430 mounting hardware and accessories for a 100% factory-spec fit.

JDM to USDM Installation & Swap Guide

To ensure 100% compatibility and maintain your LS430’s sophisticated electronics, professional technicians recommend the following "External Swap" steps:

1. Intake & Exhaust Manifolds: You must transfer your original USDM Intake Manifold and Exhaust Manifolds. JDM versions may have different vacuum port configurations and lack specific emissions bungs required for North American OBDII compliance.

2. Wiring Harness: Always retain and use your original USDM Engine Wiring Harness. JDM harnesses are configured for right-hand drive and will not interface with your LS430’s chassis bulkheads or ECU.

3. Engine Sensors: Transfer your original USDM Camshaft and Crankshaft Sensors. Lexus electronics are highly sensitive; using your original "known-good" sensors prevents intermittent signal issues or CEL codes.

4. Oil Pan: Inspect the JDM oil pan. Depending on the donor vehicle (e.g., Crown Majesta), you must transfer your original USDM LS430 Oil Pan and Pickup Tube to ensure proper subframe and steering rack clearance.

5. Throttle Body: Transfer your original USDM Drive-by-Wire Throttle Body to ensure perfect communication with your factory cruise control and traction control systems.
