This transmission serves as a direct replacement for the following North American models:

• Lexus LS430: 2001, 2002, 2003

• Lexus GS430: 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005

• Lexus SC430: 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005

• Compatibility Note: Specifically for the 5-speed models. In 2004, the LS430 switched to a 6-speed automatic (A761E). Please verify your vehicle has the 5-speed gearbox before ordering.

JDM to USDM Installation & Technical Guide

To maintain the seamless shifting and OBDII compliance of your Lexus, professional technicians recommend these critical steps:

• Internal Harness & Solenoids: You must transfer your original USDM Transmission Internal Wire Harness and Solenoids to the JDM unit. While the mechanical gears are identical, the electrical connectors on JDM Celsior units can vary in pin configuration. Reusing your original USDM electronics ensures the ECU receives the correct data and prevents "Check Engine" lights or limp mode.

• Tail shaft & Flange: Check the output flange. Depending on the donor vehicle (LS430 vs. GS430 vs. SC430), the rear output flange may be different. You may need to swap your original USDM tail shaft flange onto the JDM transmission to match your driveshaft.

• Neutral Safety Switch: Transfer your original USDM Neutral Safety Switch (Range Sensor) to ensure your gear indicator on the dash and the "Park/Neutral" starting safety circuit function perfectly.

• Fluid Requirements: Use only high-quality Toyota ATF Type T-IV. Do not use newer WS fluid in the A650E, as it was designed for the specific friction modifiers found in T-IV.

• Transmission Cooler Flush: It is mandatory to flush the transmission cooler lines and radiator. Debris from your failed unit can be trapped in the cooler and will damage the "new" JDM unit if not cleared.
