• Lexus SC430: 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005

• Lexus GS430: 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 (Verify tailshaft flange)

• Lexus LS430: 2001, 2002, 2003 (Verify tailshaft flange)

• Compatibility Note: Specifically for the 5-speed models. In 2006, the SC430 transitioned to a 6-speed automatic. Please verify your transmission code (A650E) on the driver-side door jamb sticker before ordering.

JDM to USDM Installation & Technical Guide

To maintain the seamless shifting and OBDII compliance of your Lexus, professional technicians recommend these critical steps:

• Internal Harness & Solenoids: You must transfer your original USDM Transmission Internal Wire Harness and Solenoids to the JDM unit. JDM electrical connectors on Soarer/Aristo units can vary in pin configuration. Reusing your original USDM electronics ensures the ECU receives the correct data and prevents "Check Engine" lights or shift codes.

• Tailshaft Flange: Check your driveshaft connection. Depending on the donor vehicle (SC vs. GS vs. LS), the rear output flange may vary. You may need to swap your original USDM tailshaft flange onto the JDM transmission for a guaranteed fit.

• Neutral Safety Switch: Transfer your original USDM Neutral Safety Switch (Range Sensor). This ensures your dashboard gear indicator and the "Park/Neutral" starting circuit function perfectly.

• Fluid Requirements: Use only high-quality Toyota ATF Type T-IV. The A650E was specifically calibrated for the friction modifiers in T-IV; using newer WS fluid or generic ATF can cause harsh shifting or accelerated wear in this specific gearbox.

• Cooler Line Flush: It is mandatory to flush the transmission cooler lines and radiator. Any debris from your previous failure can hide in the lines and will ruin the "new" JDM unit if not properly cleared out.
