This engine is a direct long-block replacement for the following North American models:

• Toyota Sienna (AWD / All-Wheel Drive): 2004, 2005, 2006

• Compatibility Note: This is the All-Wheel Drive (AWD) configuration. While the internal long block is shared with FWD models, AWD units require specific oil pan and transfer case mounting provisions unique to the Sienna AWD chassis.

JDM to USDM Installation & Swap Guide

To ensure 100% compatibility and maintain your Sienna’s emissions and drivability, professional Toyota technicians recommend the following "External Swap" steps:

1. Intake & Exhaust Manifolds: You must transfer your original USDM Intake Manifold and Exhaust Manifolds. JDM versions may have different vacuum port layouts and lack specific emissions bungs or EGR components required for North American OBDII compliance.

2. Wiring Harness: Always retain and use your original USDM Engine Wiring Harness. JDM harnesses are configured for right-hand drive and will not interface with your Sienna’s chassis bulkheads or ECU.

3. Engine Sensors: Transfer your original USDM Camshaft and Crankshaft Sensors. Toyota electronics are highly sensitive; using your original "known-good" sensors prevents intermittent signal issues or Check Engine Light codes.

4. Oil Pan & Pickup: If your USDM Sienna is AWD, you must transfer your original USDM Oil Pan and Pickup Tube to the JDM block. This ensures proper clearance for the front subframe and AWD transfer case assembly.

5. Knock Sensors: We recommend transferring your original USDM Knock Sensors (located in the "V" of the block) while the intake is removed to ensure compatibility with your factory harness.
