This transmission serves as a direct replacement for the following North American models:

• Lexus RX330 AWD: 2004, 2005, 2006

• Compatibility Note: Specifically for the 3.3L V6 AWD drivetrain. It will not fit Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) models due to casing differences and the lack of a transfer case output.

JDM to USDM Installation & Technical Guide

To ensure 100% OBDII compliance and maintain your Lexus’s refined driving dynamics, professional technicians recommend these critical steps:

• Solenoid & Internal Harness Transfer: You must transfer your original USDM internal wire harness and solenoids to the JDM unit. JDM electrical connectors (13-pin) can vary in pin configuration; using your original electronics ensures the Lexus ECU receives the correct data and prevents harsh shift codes (P0751, P0756, etc.).

• External Component Swap: Reuse your original USDM Neutral Safety Switch (Range Sensor) and Speed Sensors. This ensures your dashboard gear indicator and cruise control remain perfectly calibrated.

• Transfer Case: While JDM units include the transfer case, always verify that the output flanges match your USDM driveshafts. Many installers prefer to bolt their original USDM Transfer Case onto the JDM transmission for a guaranteed fit.

• Fluid Service: These units are highly sensitive to fluid quality. Use ONLY Toyota ATF Type T-IV. It is mandatory to flush the transmission cooler lines and radiator to remove any debris from your failed unit that could damage the JDM replacement.
