This transmission serves as a direct replacement for the following North American models:

• Toyota Sienna AWD (CE, LE, XLE, Limited): 2004, 2005, 2006

• Chassis Code: MCL25 (AWD Specific)

• Compatibility Note: This is specifically for AWD models. It will not fit the Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) Sienna due to the different casing and transfer case output. It is matched to the 3.3L engine only (2007+ models moved to the 3.5L 2GR-FE and a different transmission).

JDM to USDM Installation & Technical Guide

To ensure 100% OBDII compliance and prevent "Check Engine" lights or shift solenoids codes, professional Toyota technicians recommend these steps:

• Solenoid & Harness Transfer: You must transfer your original USDM Transmission Wiring Harness and Solenoids to the JDM unit. JDM electrical connectors often vary by pin-out or color; using your original USDM electronics ensures the ECU communicates perfectly with the valve body.

• Transfer Case: Most JDM units include the transfer case. However, check your output shaft flanges to ensure they match your USDM driveshafts. If there is any discrepancy, you can bolt your original USDM Sienna Transfer Case onto the JDM transmission.

• Neutral Safety Switch: Reuse your original USDM Neutral Safety Switch (Range Sensor). This ensures your dashboard gear indicator and reverse lights function without modification.

• Cooler Flush: It is mandatory to flush the transmission cooler lines and radiator. Metal fragments from a failed gearbox can hide in the cooler and destroy the JDM replacement within days.

• Fluid Requirements: Use only high-quality Toyota ATF Type T-IV. Do not use newer WS fluid unless explicitly stated by a Toyota TSB for your specific VIN.
