JDM to USDM Installation & Swap Guide

The A25A-FKS is a highly sophisticated engine. To ensure 100% compatibility with your USDM RAV4 and avoid any ECU software conflicts, follow these professional installation steps:

  1. Fuel System: You must reuse your original USDM High-Pressure Fuel Pump and fuel rail components to ensure the connectors match your vehicle's fuel lines and computer signals.

  2. Sensors & Actuators: Transfer your original USDM VVT-iE (Electric Variable Valve Timing) actuators and sensors from your old engine to the JDM block.

  3. Intake & Exhaust: Always swap your original USDM Intake Manifold and Exhaust Manifold to the JDM long block to maintain correct vacuum routing and emissions compliance.

  4. Wiring Harness: Retain and use your original USDM Engine Wiring Harness. JDM harnesses are configured for right-hand drive and are not compatible with North American chassis.

  5. Cooling System: Inspect the water bypass pipe and thermostat housing; swap from the USDM engine if there are any variations in hose diameters or angles.
